Professional Practitioner Diploma vs CPD Series
Professional Practitioner CPD Series
coaching for our global future
Professional Practitioner CPD Series
The Professional Practitioner CPD Series is a new offering from the AoEC designed to provide a flexible and focused approach to professional development.
This series is suitable for experienced coaches who are looking to enhance their practice and gain fresh insights through coaching CPD courses without the commitment of a full diploma programme.
We are excited to open up our live Professional Practitioner workshops and recorded webinars on a CPD-only basis, and invite you to consider what it means to be a coach in the social, cultural, and ecological realities of the 21st Century. As a participant of the Professional Practitioner CPD Series you will complete a portion (25 hours) of our ICF Level 2 Professional Practitioner Diploma in Executive Coaching.
Flexible CPD Training for Experienced Coaches
Unlike the full Professional Practitioner Diploma, there are no additional learning elements and no final assessments. This makes the CPD Series an ideal choice for those seeking continuing professional development for coaches without the commitment of a comprehensive, accredited programme.
Upcoming dates:
08 September 2025 - 22 January 2026
UK/Live Virtual Sessions
Professional Practitioner Diploma Open Event

Our innovative content has been developed in collaboration with AoEC global faculty, and you will benefit from the expertise, experience and diverse perspectives of practicing coaches from around the world.
Format: The CPD Series includes 10 recorded webinars, each lasting 30 minutes, and 10 live workshops, each lasting 2 hours. This blend of recorded and live sessions ensures that you can access learning content at your convenience whilst also benefiting from real-time interactions and discussions during the workshops.
Duration: The total duration of the CPD Series is 25 hours, making it a manageable commitment for busy professionals. The workshops follow the schedule of the full Professional Practitioner Diploma, so you will join the global cohort on a monthly basis over a period of five months.
Key Features: The CPD Series covers the same themes as the full Professional Practitioner Diploma:
- Coaching the Client in Context
- Holding Space
- Coaching Presence
- Coaching the Whole Client
- Being Human
As you are joining the workshops and webinars on a CPD-only basis, the Professional Practitioner CPD Series does not include mentor coaching, supervision tutorials, peer practice sessions, independent study, client coaching practice, formal assessments, or ICF Level 2 accreditation.
